GUN are a rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, most well known for their cover of "Word Up!", originally by Cameo. From 1989 until 1997 they released 4 studio albums. The band split in 1997 and aside from a few one-off reunion gigs had not been active as a unit before reforming in 2008 with Toby Jepson (ex-Little Angels) as new vocalist. During their hiatus two GUN CDs were released (the compilation "The Collection" and a double live CD "The River Sessions").

BAND: COOPER INC.
In 2004 John Cuijpers (Ayreon) and Hans in’t Zandt (Vengeance, Mad Max), both from the Netherlands, joined party with only one goal in mind: to create a rock band without its equal. At the same time German guitarist Christian Tolle was looking for a singer to record his 2nd soloalbum. Accidently he found John Cuijpers, who took this job as well. By that time Cooper Inc. was looking for a new guitar player and the only conclusion was Cooper Inc. and Christian Tolle to join forces. Through the individual members' work in the music business eventually Cooper Inc. teamed up with top producer Michael Voss (Voices Of Rock, Mad Max, Casanova, Silver, Michael Schenker to name a few) and bass player Matthias Rethmann (LeeZ, Paul Sabu, Silver).

Although this album was released on the 2nd of November this year most songs were written during the last couple of years by Marc van der Heijden. It took him some time to find the right band mates but finally Get-Stas! was formed on the 6th of May 2008. Now a year and a half later I am holding their debut album in my hands.

It was the summer of '86. Europe's smashing anthem "The Final Countdown" reached no. 1 in 25 countries. I was 15 years old and wow, I loved that song. After their 3rd album "The Final Countdown" the Swedish band released "Out Of This World" (still my favorite Europe album) and "Prisoners in Paradise". Then grunge became popular and Europe's candle slowly faded out.
