K's Choice is a Belgian rock band from Antwerp, formed in the mid-1990s. The band's core members are siblings Sarah Bettens (lead vocals, guitar) and Gert Bettens (guitar, keyboard, vocals). Their music can be described as guitar-based singer-songwriter rock or folk-rock. It ranges from very delicate and intimate singer-songwriter songs to songs that are stronger, more active and louder. Sarah's smoky, enigmatic voice is the band's best known characteristic. Sarah and Gert write all of the music and lyrics. Most of it is written separately.
In 1996 they recorded their second album Paradise in Me. The first single, "Not an Addict", was very successful and brought international fame. After two more albums Cocoon Crash (1998) and Almost Happy (2000) the band decided to go on a sabbatical in 2003. Gert and Sarah both wanted to try out some solo work. K's Choice released their fifth studio album Echo Mountain in 2010. For LazyRocker.com our reporter Raymond Coonen discussed with Gert Bettens his career so far.

Jaded Heart is a popular German melodic heavy rock band and was formed in 1990. In 2004, after 6 studio albums frontman Michael Bormann and Jaded Heart took separate ways. The Album “Helluva Time” started a new chapter for Jaded Heart in 2005 as it was the first major release with Johan Fahlberg (ex-Scudiero) fronting the band as new lead singer. This was followed by the releases "Sinister Mind" in 2007 and "Perfect Insanity" in 2009. The band's sound became darker and heavier, although the melodic elements never really were far away. Now in May 2012 the band is back with a new album "Common Destiny" released on the Fastball Music label. LazyRocker.com talked to bass player Michael Mueller about the band's new album and other stuff.

THE ATTITUDE OF A PROGRESSIVE ROCK NATURE
Clive Nolan’s got balls! Wherever he takes place behind the keyboards, the succes isn’t far away. Pendragon, Shadowland, Strangers On A Train, Neo, and Arena already got their feet on the ground thanks to his remarkable talents. But that ain’t enough. Together with the Polish singer Agnieszka Swita he’s forming Caamora. Clive wrote the rock-opera ‘She’ for this project which is based upon Henry Rider Haggard’s famous novel. The rock-opera turned out to a full staged musical with performances in Bolivia and the UK. Currently, Clive’s working on a new musical project called ‘Alchemy’. It’s got the same Victorian vibe as ‘She’, but this time the story is written by himself. Lazyrocker.com speaks to Clive before the Arena-performance at Rock Ittervoort in the Netherlands.

Put folk, fanfare and tex-mex in a blender, cover this with a Southern Dutch dialect sauce and you'll hear Rowwen Heze. Formed in 1985 in a small Dutch village called America this band enjoys world fame in The Netherlands and in Belgium. They got well-known by party anthems as "Bestel Mar", "Zondag in 't Zuiden" and their classic "Limburg". The band also shows their other side with ballads as "Werme Regen", "De Peel in Brand" and "Auto, Vliegtuug". They even made it several times to the Pinkpop stage.
For LazyRocker.com your reporter Raymond Coonen talked to singer Jack Poels and guitar player Theo Joosten just a few hours before their show in Cultuurcentrum Achterolmen in Maaseik, Belgium. As the band is only known in Dutch speaking countries the interview has not been translated into English.

SAYING YES TO YES…AGAIN!
After Tony Kaye and Rick Wakeman, Geoff Downes is the third keyboardplayer who returned to Yes. A remarkable choice, because during his debut in 1980 the band was in a troubled period. During Yes-2011 European tour, just a few hours before the gig in Concertgebouw De Vereeniging in Nijmegen, LazyRocker.com speaks to the celebrated keyboardist who’s very eager about being part of Yes again. Also Geoff reveals his passion for technique and British church music.

EXIT 31 STILL ON HIGHWAY
In the summer of 1995 Dutch rock band Dufus was founded. After nine successful years, its members decided to rename the band Exit 31. In 2005, after two years of hard labour, the band signed a record deal with YeaYeaYeah Records. In 2006 they finally released their debut album 'Phonogenic' followed by 'Exit 31' in 2008 which was recorded in the Bamboo Room Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio by famous producer Erwin Musper (Anouk, Scorpions, Van Halen). Recently Exit 31 released their first DVD "Live @MPMF". The band was captured on tape during their performance at the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio (USA) in 2008.
Exit 31 can best be described as close-harmony rock, creating a middle road between modern pop-rock and stern yet melodic power-rock. Currently the band is working on their 3rd album. LazyRocker.com visited the band in their own studio in hometown Stein in the South of the Netherlands and sat together with the musicians and talked all night about their past, present and future.
